2026 Cobb Spring Signees

May 7, 2026 — The spring season in Cobb Schools sports offers a wide variety of options when it comes to seeing student-athletes in action. Baseball, golf, lacrosse, soccer, and tennis make up only half of the events on the spring athletics calendar. With so many sports showcasing great athletes within a talented district, it is unsurprising that this translates into dozens of college commitments during the springtime.

“One of the greatest sources of pride as District Director of Athletics is seeing the doors that continue to open for our student-athletes after they leave our schools,” Cobb County Director of Athletics Don Baker said. “Each year, the Cobb County School District consistently meets or exceeds the national average for student-athletes earning opportunities to compete at the collegiate level, and that speaks volumes about the work being done across our district. In today’s college athletics landscape, with the NCAA transfer portal and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities reshaping recruiting, it has become increasingly difficult for high school student-athletes to secure opportunities at the next level. College programs now have access to older, more experienced players through the portal, which naturally creates fewer openings for incoming freshmen. That makes what our student-athletes continue to accomplish even more impressive.”

While Fall and Winter signing days get most of the attention — be sure to check out Cobb’s list of signees from the Fall and Winter signing days —the Spring Signing Period offers dozens of deserving student-athletes another opportunity to announce the next destination to display their athletic skills. As is often the case, Cobb Schools are well represented among future college athletes.

“What this says about Cobb is that we are developing more than athletes; we are developing complete student-athletes,” Baker added. “Through the commitment of our coaches, athletic directors, teachers, school leaders, and families, our students are being prepared both in the classroom and in competition. They are learning discipline, leadership, resilience, and accountability while competing at a high level. The result is that college coaches continue to trust and recruit Cobb County student-athletes because they know they are getting young people who are prepared for the demands of college athletics and college life. That is a point of pride for our district — not just because of where our students go next, but because of how prepared they are when they get there. That’s what educational athletics is about, and that’s what makes Cobb County special.”
